Requirements for Registering
- All outstanding balances with DPS must be paid prior to permit registration. Please check account at My Account.
- Your UNC PID and valid ONYEN will be required to register and pay for a permit. Permits are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. A confirmation e-mail will be sent as well as information on purchasing the permit.
- You must register your vehicle license plate (exact license plate information from vehicle registration)
- Provide the company name of the vehicle insurer and policy number
- Payment Method – Visa / Mastercard (debit or credit) available at time of registration
- Accurate mailing address where permit will be shipped
Permit Registration Process
- Access the parking permit registration site on the date scheduled for your class.
- Log-in using a valid ONYEN and password. Select class and commuter / resident status to determine permit availability.
- Select the permit you wish to purchase among the available permits listed.
- The Vehicle Registration, Plate Number and valid Insurance information Insurer & Policy Number must be entered into the system prior to finalizing permit sale.
- Once the vehicle is properly registered, a payment screen will be displayed requiring a debit or credit Visa / MasterCard. Payment must be finalized before permit is awarded.
- Permits will be mailed directly to the address provided on the website, so provide a valid address where you know that the permit will be received. Do not use a temporary address if you are traveling during the summer.
